How We Got Here
Started Small
Launched with three clients in Port Macquarie. Spent most of that first year learning how to explain financial patterns in ways that resonated with business owners rather than just other analysts.
Tested During Disruption
The pandemic period showed us which financial indicators actually mattered during uncertainty. We refined our approach based on what helped businesses navigate those difficult months.
Expanded Framework
Developed our current analysis methodology after working with over 180 Australian businesses. Started focusing more on cash flow sustainability and less on traditional ratio analysis.

When someone engages us, we start by looking at three to five years of financial data if available. Sometimes less if it's a younger business. We're looking for patterns rather than single data points.

We're a small team based in Port Macquarie. Between us, we've got backgrounds in corporate finance, business accounting, and economic analysis. But mostly we've learned by working directly with Australian businesses.
Henrik Mortensen
Started in corporate banking before shifting to business advisory in 2016. Focuses on manufacturing and retail sector analysis. Lives in Port Macquarie, somehow still doesn't surf.
